Announcing the first of the Swifty First Descents series – the first of many adventures featuring SwiftyAIR. This Swifty adventure series began with a simple idea: to find a big hill and to roll down it! – but the team at SwiftyHQ tend not to do things by halves.
Swifty First Descents – Mount Snowdon
Choosing the highest peak in Wales, Mount Snowdon is one of Jason’s all-time favourites. Less than two hours drive from Manchester, at the heart of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, Snowdon’s summit is 1085m (3560ft) above sea level. Tom and Jason set out to conquer the first #SwiftyFirstDescent.
But let’s not forget the ascent – luckily enough both our camera crew (Tom) and our rider (Jason) are keen and experienced climbers, so they decided to take the most challenging, most spectacular and most exciting route for the ascent – Cribb Goch.
Jason and SwiftyAIR on Crib Goch
Cribb Goch
Cribb Goch is described as the most thrilling knife-edge arête in the UK – the very exposed grade I scramble features sheer drops of shattered rock on both sides, and I think we are safe to say, that this is the first time anyone has made this ascent with a scooter on their back!
Once at the summit, our crew of two took in some refreshments and the stunning views. The team was ready for the Snowdon #SwiftyFirstDescent challenge! Taking the Llanberis Path down, the SwiftyAIR MK2 absolutely flew. Watch the final edit here:
