If anybody got the chance to come down to the Bike Expo at Event City in Manchester last weekend (20th – 22nd March) you will no doubt have noticed the big Swifty area we set up in the main exhibition hall.
We had SwiftyAIR, SwiftyZERO and SwiftyONE on display, plus some demo scooters available to test ride. This custom built test track was also made and designed at SwiftyHQ – perfect for scooting! Visitors were invited to come and have a go on their favourite Swifty Scooter and whizz around the custom built track, berm and roll-overs themselves while leaving the half pipe to the pros.
We hooked up with our SwiftyAIR team riders and some of the hottest BMX talents in Great Britain, Matti Hemmings and James Jones, who put on quite a show.
The team demonstrated just how much you can do on a SwiftyAIR, we’d like to thank Leon Coleman, Keelum Murphy, and Matti Hemmings for showing off their superb skills on our scooters over the course of the expo, their performances went down a storm. Also, the crowd witnessed a world first – Matti Hemmings flatland BMX skills but on a scooter! Take a look –
As well as enjoying our own time there, we had a great time meeting and chatting with some of the other companies attending. In particular, we’d like to give a shout out to 8Freight bikes, their rear load cargo bikes are so easy to ride, lightweight and such friendly people, GRN Bikewear, who supply sustainable and ethically sourced bike clothing and to Tyler & Hall for their superb paleo and gluten-free cakes.
If you came along, we hope you enjoyed it and we look forward to seeing you again!
