We've all heard of cycling holidays, so why not try a scooting getaway instead? Introducing... the Swifty Holiday! Swifty Scooters has teamed up with Whereabouts Holidays to put together a 7-day scooter trip around the scenic Lake Constance in central Europe, scooting through Germany, Austria and Switzerland. What a magnificent route!
Using the SwiftyZERO, you will travel along paved cycle paths, next to the banks and even feel the breeze in your hair as you scoot lakeside. This getaway includes daily transfer of luggage to the next hotel and local support if required. Accommodation in hotels with a 3* classification and boat trips are also part of this holiday package. So, enjoy the scenery and get your scoot on!
During this scooter getaway around Lake Constance, you use a SwiftyZERO to travel between 10 and 25 miles per day (between 15 and 40 km). The first three stages of the scoot holiday are a bit hilly, but nothing a scooter can’t handle. The average person scoots around 7-12 miles (11-19 km) per hour. The SwiftyZERO has been ridden over 1000s of miles, making this strongly built kick scooter perfect for this type of trip.
Day 1: Arrival in Konstanz
On day one, you will arrive in Konstanz. No scooting is planned in for this first day of your trip to give you the chance to explore the old town on foot, visit the aquariums or go to the Archaeological Museum.
Day 2: Konstanz – Unteruhldingen / Meersburg (25-30km + boat trip)
From Konstanz, the scooting begins! You scoot to the Flower Island of Mainau. From there, you get a boat to Uberlingen and then scoot on to Unteruhldingen. Here you can visit the Lake Dwelling Museum, where you can learn about how our ancestors lived on Lake Constance.
Day 3: Unteruhldingen – Friedrichshafen (10-15km + boat trip)
From Unteruhldingen, you scoot to medieval Meersburg, and then on to Immenstaad, where you get on the boat to Friedrichshafen. Friedrichshafen has a Zeppelin Museum, which we highly recommend visiting for learning more about technology and art.
Day 4: Friedrichshafen – Lindau (30km)
Through beautiful orchards and the village of Langenargen with its pretty Montfort Castle, you scoot to the Bavarian town of Lindau.
Day 5: Lindau – Rorschach / Arbon (40km)
In Bregenz, famous for its annual festival on the world’s largest lake-stage, you take your first break of the day. At Hochst, you cross the border again and scoot onwards to Rorschach/Arbon.
Day 6: Rorschach – Konstanz (40km)
The last day of scooting takes you through Romanshorn. You continue along the banks of Lake Constance back to Konstanz. It’s an easy and flat terrain to scoot on with multiple stops along the way to dip into the cool waters of the lake.
Day 7: Departure from Konstanz
After breakfast, you start your return journey home or you can choose to extend your stay.
The Swifty Scooter Holiday around Lake Constance includes a daily transfer of luggage to the next hotel, scooter hire and local support if required. Accommodation in hotels with a 3* classification is included as well as breakfast. All boat trips and entrance to Rosgarten Museum Constance, Pfahlbauten Lake Dwelling Museum Unteruhldingen and Sea Life Centre Constance are also part of this holiday package.
The SwiftyZERO is the kick scooter built for longer distances. With bike-like features, such as the 16-inch pneumatic wheels, it offers an unbeatable smooth ride and stable handling that any adult rider deserves. The scooter boasts a maximum loading of 150kg. With the lightweight aluminium frame (8.2kg), barely any energy is lost when kicking the scooter forward.

What a great idea. I’ve been looking to do a unique tour like this. Would love if you did a tour in Canada or US
